Movement & Music Resource box
We know how vital it is that residents are given the opportunity to be creative and expressive to ensure good physical and mental health. We originally created these resource boxes during lockdown to support care homes when we couldn’t visit. They are still proving to be very popular.
Our Movement and Music Resource Box has everything you need to continue providing great inclusive and creative care in these challenging times.
Each box is packed full of beautiful music and movement equipment all of which have been specifically selected to be easy to clean and simple to use.
It comes with a DVD full of creative ideas and activities centred around 9 different themes and features practical demonstrations on how to use the resources included in the box.
The box was developed alongside Musical Keys who share JAMS’ understanding of the increased difficulty in reaching residents in care homes at the moment and the impact on the wellbeing of people living with Dementia who currently have little or no access to meaningful creative activities. This resource offers a bridge between artist and participant by sharing age and ability appropriate activities that can be delivered by staff in care homes.
All the equipment has been specially designed and selected to be Covid safe and accessible for people living in Residential Care Homes.
