sKELETON
We are formed of over 200 bones, collectively known as the skeleton. The skeleton, which is a living system, provides the body with its structure, shape and form. Bringing awareness to the skeletal system will support posture and balance.
Focus: Strengthening bones, improving joint mobility, and grounding the body.
Using your hand, gently feel the bone in your lower arm. How many are there? Where does it stop?
Take time to feel other accessible bones in the body.
Now bring your attention to the joints, the spaces between the bones that allow for movement and expression.
Take time to appreciate the movement of the fingers, hands, elbows, shoulders, neck, spine, hips, knees, ankles, feet and toes.
From resting, sense your entire skeleton, breath into the bones allow breath to create space.
Allow the breath and bones to move together.
Enjoy this movement from the bone’s exploration.
